SURREY BASED ARTIST
My practice delves into the depths of human emotion through the alchemy of found objects and mixed media. Each sculpture I create is an amalgamation of personal narrative and tactile expression, drawn from the intimate pages of my journal. For me, my practice is not merely about creation; it is a profound act of catharsis. Through the manipulation of materials, I reclaim agency over my emotional landscape. The process of shaping and assembling becomes a ritual of release, and a means of confronting and navigating the complexities of my inner world.
As an artist, my main aim is to bridge the gap between the visceral and the visible. I strive to translate the rawness of emotion into tangible forms, offering viewers a pathway to engage with the intangible. By rendering difficult emotions into physical 3D forms, I want to make the abstract more accessible, inviting audiences to confront, explore, and ultimately, find solace in the shared human experience.
Overall, my installations serve as vessels, carrying fragments of my journey and inviting others to embark on their own. Through the interplay of materiality and meaning, I seek to cultivate spaces of empathy and understanding.
